Disruption.
If there was an award for the Word of the Year (which there probably is), Disruption would have to win.
It is all over the place.
In business, in the arts, in the professions, in our private lives.
It is kind of like short hand for what teenagers do to their parents, in EVERY generation.
Mess up a comfortable lifestyle, just because they want to do it differently.
In context, Disruption is really just another word for progress.
Which has always been with us.
Just not so fast,
Or perhaps so obvious.
But the thing is, it offers so many opportunities.
We all know about the benefits of being there first, before anyone else, and of reaping the profits.
So this is not new.
And the world needs progress, because without it we die.
New ways, better ways, innovative ways.
And we need to have our minds open
Because if we do not see it, and take advantage of it, someone else will.
I call it Transformational Thinking, because that is exactly what it can do.
Transform things into something new.
And this is what the world needs to keep moving forward.
